  To send it back. It had a thick layer of pink film over it as if it had been freezer burnt or something. Two people who ordered chicken both appeared burnt from the outside and undercooked/raw on the inside. I ordered shrimp and steak. The meal was $18.75. It came our on a plastic plate, the same plate my daughters $5 cheeseburger came out on and was the exact same portion as her meal. When I am spending that much on a meal, I at least expect it to be presented nicely. I actually thought it was her meal at first glance. The shrimp were bland and too fried. The steak was so bloody that it drenched my fries in runny blood and I couldn't eat them. The salads were horrible, the lettuce was brown, soggy and wilted. I will say, the only Thing I did enjoy was the homemade dressing. The waitstaff were unconcerned about our uneaten plates even after we brought a few to their attention. They did not take off any of the meal. I will never dine here again.

  I'm not sure how they get any business (it's between two farms in the middle of nowhere). The staff is super-friendly, and have no problem if you want to modify something from the menu! It isn't too loud to have a conversation, and there is a large fireplace if you're lucky enough to get there early.

  Some of our food was great, some was not. Similar to another reviewer, our bread was somewhat hard. If I had to guess, these are frozen somehow and then warmed. The ribs are fantastic. Fall off the bone and smoked well. I had ribs and steak and the steak was low quality and I wouldn't eat that selection again. My wife had a steak entree and it was very good. Two different kinds/cuts of steak make all the difference. Salad was fine, baked potato was simple and could have used the fully loaded options (maybe they exist?). Service was slow to start, but very quick and attentive for the rest of our experience. This place has the feel of the diners in northern Minnesota. One big room, fireplace, lots of tables. Some of the large tables are not dining tables. They are rectangle shaped and have the folding legs on the ends with a chair right there. Your legs can't go under the table. One of my legs started to fall asleep as the chair was a little uncomfortable. I think it was sightly too tall/off the ground for me. I would go back for the ribs or steak, just don't order them together. Price was moderately expensive. Mine was 19, hers 21. Soda was 2.50.
